SomoGear AN / PEQ-15
The ATPIAL (Advanced Target Pointer/ Illuminator/ Aiming Laser), otherwise known as, the AN/PEQ-15, is a weapon mounted IR / visible laser weapon site for use with night vision devices. The https://bit.ly/2GlQO7U features a slaved visible and IR laser, as well as, a IR illuminator. This give the user the ability to zero the laser during the day and the IR laser will be slaved and will hold the same zero as the visible laser. This allows the zero process to be easier and more precise than at night.
Zeroing is
accomplished with elevation and windage flat head screws that sit flush with
the housing eliminating accidental adjustment. If a screw driver is not
handy, the rim of a 5.56 casing can be used to adjust the screws. The
user can zero both the slaved lasers and the illuminator independently to place
the aiming laser in the center of the illuminator.
The
AN/PEQ-15 mounts to any standard picatinny rail and can be ran in multiple
positions in conjunction with other accessories on multiple weapon platforms.
The ATPIAL sits low on the rail so most lower 1/3 or taller mounts /
optics will clear the laser from sight picture.
The unit
is operated primarily with a selection dial and fire button on the top of the
unit. This lets the user easily manipulate the laser functions to fit the
environmental need. Another very intuitive and ergonomic feature is the
rear facing batter compartment. This lets the user change the batteries
in the device without having to unmount the laser if being used with an iron site
mounted in front of the laser.
Army Force https://bit.ly/2GlQO7U Battery Box Dark Earth is an Airsoft
battery box for Front Wired AEGs, designed to imitate the appearance of a real
PEQ-15 laser/light module and hide batteries. The https://bit.ly/2GlQO7U case is constructed from lightweight
and durable Dark Earth polymer. Access to the storage space is simple, removing
three small Hex Screws, the front end of the box becomes removable, allowing
you to slide your battery into place. The wire from the battery is fed through
a cut-out at the opposite end of the box, connecting up to the AEG. The box can
be mounted onto a 20mm RIS rail, with the mounting point requires a flat headed
screwdriver.
The
https://bit.ly/2GlQO7U, also known as the ATPIAL (Advanced Target Pointer
Illuminator Aiming Light *), is a three-channel laser designator designed for
aiming various types of weapons at a target. It is the latest generation of the
LCC, replacing the AN / PEQ-2A, which has been in service with the US Army
since the early 1990s. The device is more functional, with smaller dimensions
and weight.
Picatinny
Mount Standard (MIL STD 1913). AN
/ PEQ-15 has two independent laser designators: visible spectrum (630-650
nm) and invisible (infrared) spectrum (830-870 nm) for operation in various
lighting conditions. The target designator "Aspid" is designed
specifically to work in conjunction with night vision devices and sights.
Precise aiming at dusk and at night.
The
third channel is near IR illumination (850 ± 20) nm for operation at a distance
of up to 400 m.
