The Unity Tactical TAPS, Tactical Augmented Pressure switch, is the complete command system for  weapon mounted electronics. The TAPS gives lights and lasers a low profile and a dual device control system. It allows the operator to mount the laser and light in the optimal location while giving a single point of actuation. The operator no longer needs to worry about placing the laser and light where they can both be activated, the TAPS give the operator controls at their fingertips.

They can be mounted to any industry standard rail such as M1913  Picatinny, KEYMOD, and M LOK. To keep the weapon lighter and sleeker, there is no need for a third party rail adapter. The TAPS is equipped with two on board buttons and two accessory leads. It comes standard with Surefire Light lead and MIL Standard, Crane Laser Lead that fits NATO standard lasers from Insight Technology, Steiner, and others. It is waterproof to 1 meter for 30 minutes, and has a hardened housing for durability.

For me, one of the most annoying things in building a new rifle was the choice of where to mount my tape switch for a light. Top dead center is ambidextrous, but is usually set farther back than I like. Mounting on a vertical grip is less than ideal, on one side, difficult to actuate from the opposite, etc. I can only imagine trying to mount two separate tape switch es on a rifle being more aggravating.

Solving that problem for the fully tactical operator is a joint product from Unity Tactical and TNVC named the TAPS or Tactical Augmented Pressure  switch. Released in two versions, Standard and Pro, the TAPS combines tape switch es for Surefire and Insight lights/lasers into one cohesive mount. Both options feature two switch es for easily activating one, the other, or both of the attached emitters.
